Day 50 - 51 Busy, busy, busy.

Took yesterday off work as helped Dave to sort a few things out with grandpa, also went and got a few last minute bits and pieces for Leesco. Got her balloons, banners and cake etc and went and got the food for her party. There will be about 7 of them so just going to give them pizza, garlic bread and chips and lots of sweets. She's getting very excited. We said we were just giving her money but once again she has been thoroughly spoilt. Going to wrap her pressies and decorate the house tonight. Still need to go and get her big helium 9 blown up.
Got season 2 of prison break yesterday but haven't started watching it yet, so got that to look forward to.
Put a pair of trousers on yesterday that I haven't worn for a while as they were far too tight and woo hoo they fit, so really pleased about that. I can really feel the difference now.
Busy at work with having yesterday off, just need to try and get caught up as finishing at 3pm tomorrow for Elise's party, then the same on Thursday to go to Metro Centre shopping. Dave leaves early Friday morning to go to Portugal for a stag doo so my lovely sister is taking him and I am staying with the kids as she is off on Friday but I'm at work so cheers Cerrance.
Friday night got no plans as yet but me and Cerrie are going to the Quayside on Saturday afternoon so we are hoping it will be a lovely afternoon so we can sit outside and have a few drinks as we are both husband less for the weekend woo hoo. Argh we'll miss them really.

Day 48 - 49 Sad News :0(

We had some sad news this morning, Dave's grandpa passed away. He was 95 years old therefore had had a very long and full life, he was an amazing man, he had an amazing mind writing a book a year or so ago, getting a pc at the age of 90 and still playing and writing music but unfortunately his body had just had enough. Well he will be with Dave's gran now at peace.
Went to St James' park last night which was good, the boys all looked great and all got presented with trophies by two ex Newcastle players but can't remember their names.
So been a quiet day today, Elise has been to the pictures with Cerrie and Mickey to see Transformers 2 and we have had little Cerys who was as good as gold, she is so funny, then Sumo came down with the kids for a cuppa so was nice to see them too.
Think we might go and get a dvd tonight.
That's all for now. m x

Day 47 Friday Weigh Day

Been and got weighed and have lost 2.5lbs, bit disappointed as it's not a huge amount but I suppose as Paula said you can't lose large amounts every week. I suppose what really matters is that I'm losing, and have lost nearly 2 stone in 8 weeks and I'm feeling good.
Going to have a quiet night tonight just me and the hubby until Elise comes home about 9pm as she is going to her dad's for a while as she isn't going tomorrow night with us going to St James'. Just looking out the window it is getting dark already and it looks like the kind of night where you just want to go home and get your jarmies on. Mmmmm sounds lovely. Might watch Dark Knight tonight as Mr M hasn't stopped bleeting on about how good it is, not my thing really but we'll give it a go.
Hope this rain stops for Plate day tomorrow or god help the ladies in their heels.

Day 44 - 46 - Sports Day

Wow, just been to Elise and Liam's Sports Day, it was great, they are very competitive for just being little. Not been up to much the last few days, went to parents evening at Elise's new middle school on Monday night and had a look round. It seems to be a really nice school and Elise seems to be really looking forward to it, I think the new challenge will really do her good.
Tuesday night me and Elise went to the docs and he gave Elise some cream for her toes and some for her head, and me some lansoprazole for my heartburn so fingers crossed that should get rid of it. Last night I changed our bedroom round and had a good old clear out so I felt all organised when I got ready this morning and knew where everything was, all in separate boxes and bags. Get me eh!
Phase 2 of our new Resource Centre is ahead of schedule therefore should be opening soon. It is a bit manic here and we're just had an enquiry from Asda, (and if anyone doesn't know a new Asda superstore is opening in Ashington) they have approached us and asked if they could book our 3 available meeting rooms every day for 16 weeks for training and recruitment. Excellent opportunity for the organisation to generate some extra income however it is going to mean a lot of work for my team, as the girls will have to facilitate these, but on a positive note it will definitely raise our profile and provide us with a lot of bodies through the door which in turn will promote our cafe and all of our trading services. So, lots of changes and opportunities coming up.
Think we're going over to Cerrie's tonight, Dave is going for a long, long, long run as he is training for the Great North Run he is doing it for Age Concern, he can already run this distance quite comfortably (half marathon) but he wants to be able to run a marathon by the time he does it. (NUTS) No actually I envy him a lot, he is so fit and runs just about every night now. I will let you all know nearer the time when he receives the info regarding it as any sponsorship would be welcome, he needs to raise a minimum of £300.
Well I suppose best be off now. Laters x

Day 40 - 43 - Monday Blues :0(

Got no energy today, feel really tired and a bit fed up. Had a good weekend, had the Lothian's and the Dewison's over on Friday night with all the kids, played a bit of sing star and had a good night. Saturday Dave and I went to Wooler and went out with Ross, Helen and a few others. Yesterday being fathers day went to mam's and had a BBQ and Dave went to watch the cricket with Mickey. Went home in the afternoon and Elise came home about 6pm. Had a quiet night last night and just watched telly and went to bed about 10. Diet wise weekend been fine however I did struggle a bit last night and felt a big rubbish but hey ho the highs and lows of CD.
Going to Elise's middle school (St Benedicts) which she starts in September tonight for a visit and a look around. I can't believe she is going to middle school. It's scary as I can vividly remember middle school. Hmmmm not good. She's funny she is a lot like me in the morning, ie grumpy, quiet and tired. She put her little miss sunshine knickers on this morning and I was laughing as she said "I don't feel like little miss sunshine this morning, more like little miss thunder". Think it must be something in the air.
Got lots on this week at work, lots of meetings and stuff, internet is also back up and running thankfully so that should make things easier. Got a doctors appointment for me and Elise tomorrow night for my heartburn and Elise has sore feet in between her toes and she has a few spots on her head so I'll see if they can do anything for us.
We're going to a presenation for our Liam on Saturday night at St James' park so that should be nice, there are a few of us going. Elise is going to Newcastle shopping through the day with a friend then the bus is picking us up at 5.45pm.
Next week (1st) is Leesco's birthday, think I have just about everything now, just need to get her a cake and sort out invites for her tea.

Day 39 - Gorgeous little boy :0)

Got weighed yesterday and lost 3lbs, I'm quite happy with that. Went to see little Rory last night, he is adorable, so very very cute. Katie is doing great too and looks amazing for just having had a baby. Dave went out with Paul to wet the baby's head so I went over to Cerries.
Working from home again this afternoon due to still no internet at work. Hopefully the problem should be rectified by next week fingers crossed.
Upped the water today, as have been having troubles going to the loo (maybe too much info but hey ho) and Paula said it is definitely down to not enough water so water, water, water for me
Just made Leesco and Liam's tea now going to go and get in the bath Mr M is cutting the grass then the Lothian's are coming round tonight so might have a few vodies, not on the plan but what the heck.
No plans as yet for tomorrow, Elise will be going to her dad's so me and Dave can just please ourselves. Fathers Day on Sunday so going to mam's for a BBQ, got it easy this year as dad just wants some golf item which he will get himself so it's just money in a card.
Thanks Claire for your comments, I still find it motivating writing my blog and it's nice knowing people are still following my progress.

Day 34 - 38 No Internet!!

Pretty crap excuse but we've had no internet at work therefore the blogging has slipped somewhat. I can never really be bothered to at night time but tonight I am making the exception as it doesn't look like the problem will be fixed anytime soon.
So, what have I been doing? Friday night we just stayed in and Holly, Greg and Gary came over for a few drinks, then Saturday me and Dave didn't do a lot, went to Claire and Chris' on Saturday night which was good fun, we played Mr & Mrs which caused some hysteria along the lines of "don't be so bloody stupid, of course I prefer corn flakes to weetabix". Hmm. You get the gist.
Sunday went shopping and spent a bloody fortune on food which isn't fun when you're on CD however I suppose I still have to feed my child and husband. Also got Elise some stuff for her upcoming birthday on the 1st July. I got her a gorgeous pineapple dance tracksuit, some ted baker trainers, a new coat, some t shirts (including a very cool Beatles one), some hairbands and new bobbles and stuff. She wants money so we are giving her money to spend at the metro centre after her birthday so quite an easy one this birthday. Just need to get her some more little bits and pieces.
Work has been frustrating as as I said we've had no internet for 3 days which is driving everyone nuts as it is surprising what you need it for. Also can't access any external emails which isn't great. Anyhoo Monday night we watched 7 pounds which in my opinion was rubbish. I thought it was really slow and disappointing as I love Will Smith but there you go, still good to look at.
Last night we got a text to say Katie and Paul have had a little boy, Rory James Ballance, 7lb 11oz, born emergency section but are both doing great so congratulations to them all.
Went up the street at dinner time to get new baby and fathers day cards and presents and got soaked, not good. Going to work from home tomorrow morning as need to contact some customers and need to access the internet so won't be in work until after lunch. Also I get weight at 1pm so fingers crossed for that. Diet wise everything still going great, but for some reason I'm really struggling with the water so need to sort that out. I worked out today it is 1 month, 2 weeks until I add a meal which is quite daunting, anyone who doesn't know this means I will have been doing the diet for 12 weeks so you have to add a meal each day, so I will have my shake for breakfast and soup for lunch as normal however in the evening I have a very small amount of chicken and two tablespoons of veg, you do this only for a week then back to soul sourcing (ie no food) for another 12 weeks or until you get to your goal weight, which ever comes first. In my case hopefully the latter will come first. Once you are at goal you slowly start introducing foods. I try not to think about it to be honest as it seems so far and away and I sometimes think that the bit I'm doing now is the easy bit it's the maintenance and finding the right balance that is the difficult part. I think I know that I have to accept to stay at a healthy weight I need to have very few calories, this may sound very straight forward but my doctor has told me that for every 1lb a normal person (normal being someone without PCOS) would put on I would probably put on 3lb, same goes for losing the weight therefore I will probably need to eat less calories than your average person. Saying that if I exercised it would probably help but that's a topic for another day.
OK rant over, going to go and get in the bath then chill out and watch telly. Was going to go and see baby Rory tonight but thought I better wait a bit as she will probably all her family there tonight so maybe tomorrow night.
Over and out M x x
