Day 44 - 46 - Sports Day
Wow, just been to Elise and Liam's Sports Day, it was great, they are very competitive for just being little. Not been up to much the last few days, went to parents evening at Elise's new middle school on Monday night and had a look round. It seems to be a really nice school and Elise seems to be really looking forward to it, I think the new challenge will really do her good.
Tuesday night me and Elise went to the docs and he gave Elise some cream for her toes and some for her head, and me some lansoprazole for my heartburn so fingers crossed that should get rid of it. Last night I changed our bedroom round and had a good old clear out so I felt all organised when I got ready this morning and knew where everything was, all in separate boxes and bags. Get me eh!
Phase 2 of our new Resource Centre is ahead of schedule therefore should be opening soon. It is a bit manic here and we're just had an enquiry from Asda, (and if anyone doesn't know a new Asda superstore is opening in Ashington) they have approached us and asked if they could book our 3 available meeting rooms every day for 16 weeks for training and recruitment. Excellent opportunity for the organisation to generate some extra income however it is going to mean a lot of work for my team, as the girls will have to facilitate these, but on a positive note it will definitely raise our profile and provide us with a lot of bodies through the door which in turn will promote our cafe and all of our trading services. So, lots of changes and opportunities coming up.
Think we're going over to Cerrie's tonight, Dave is going for a long, long, long run as he is training for the Great North Run he is doing it for Age Concern, he can already run this distance quite comfortably (half marathon) but he wants to be able to run a marathon by the time he does it. (NUTS) No actually I envy him a lot, he is so fit and runs just about every night now. I will let you all know nearer the time when he receives the info regarding it as any sponsorship would be welcome, he needs to raise a minimum of £300.
Well I suppose best be off now. Laters x
